Notice is hereby given of the intention of the Board of County Commissioners of Escambia County, Florida at a public hearing to be held at 5:32 p.m. on the 5th day of October 2017 in the Board Chambers, Room 100, Escambia County Governmental Complex, 221 Palafox Place, to receive input from the public on the proposed use of Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program FY 2017 Local Solicitation. Proposed use of the anticipated funds would be for law enforcement overtime to support operations street level crime in the amount of $128,738.

 

All interested parties may appear at the public hearing and be heard regarding the proposed allocation of grant funds.  An overview of the JAG program is available for review in the County Administrator’s Office; 221 Palafox Place, Pensacola, FL 32501.

 

Any person who decides to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter at the public hearing will need a record of the proceedings of the meeting.  Since the Board of County Commissioners does not make verbatim records of its meetings, such person may need to independently secure a record, which should include the testimony or evidence on which the appeal is based.
