PUBLIC NOTICE TO BIDDERS

 

Escambia County, Florida is issuing a Notice of Funding Availability (NOFA) to solicit applications for programs that address the strategies outlined in the Escambia County’s 2024 Opioid Abatement Implementation Plan.  A pre-solicitation meeting will be held on Wednesday, July 10th at 9am via Teams and at the Matt Langley Bell, III building 213 Palafox Place, 2nd floor, Pensacola, FL 32502.  Attendance is not mandatory.

 

Specifications may be obtained by reviewing the “2024 Escambia County Opioid Abatement Funding NOFA_ Approved 5.20.24” document on the Escambia County Opioid Abatement Funding Advisory Board site at https://myescambia.com/open-government/boards-committees/opioid-abatement-funding-advisory-board. For applications to be considered, they must: meet all the applicant eligibility, be an eligible activity, meet all Federal and State requirements, participate in our Homeless Continuum of Care and Behavioral health systems, meet the minimum requirements, and must submit application by the stated deadline. Any application that does not meet the above requirements will not be considered. Escambia County reserves the right to reject any or all applications.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN of the intent of the Board of County Commissioners of Escambia County (BCC), Florida at a public hearing to be held at 5:31 p.m. or as soon thereafter as possible on Thursday, August 1, 2024, in the BCC Meeting Room, First Floor, County Courthouse, 221 Palafox Place, to consider adopting an ordinance to amend the Code of Escambia County as follows:

 

AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA CREATING VOLUME I, CHAPTER 70, ARTICLE VII, DIVISION 5, SECTIONS 70-735 THROUGH 70-742 OF THE ESCAMBIA COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES; ESTABLISHING THE PERDIDO ESTATES DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENT MUNICIPAL SERVICE BENEFIT UNIT FOR THE PURPOSE OF PROVIDING STORMWATER DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR THE AUTHORITY, PURPOSE, AND SCOPE OF SAID ORDINANCE; PROVIDING FOR A SHORT TITLE; PROVIDING FOR DEFINITIONS; PROVIDING FOR DISTRICT; PROVIDING FOR GOVERNANCE; PROVIDING FOR LEGISLATIVE FINDINGS; PROVIDING FOR NON-AD VALOREM SPECIAL ASSESSMENT COLLECTION; PROVIDING FOR APPEAL PROCESS; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE OF ODINANCES OF ESCAMBIA COUNTY; PROVIDING FOR TRANSMITTAL; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
