AN ORDINANCE OF ESCAMBIA COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING PART II OF THE ESCAMBIA COUNTY CODE OF ORDINANCES, THE ESCAMBIA COUNTY COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: 2030, AS AMENDED; AMENDING CHAPTER 7, “THE FUTURE LAND USE ELEMENT,” POLICY FLU 1.1.1, TO PROVIDE FOR AN AMENDMENT TO THE  2030 FUTURE LAND USE MAP, CHANGING THE FUTURE LAND USE CATEGORY OF A PARCEL LOCATED WITHIN SECTION 24, TOWNSHIP 2N, RANGE 31W, PARCEL NUMBER 24-2N-31-2100-000-000 TOTALING 49.99 (+/-) ACRES, LOCATED ON ROCKY BRANCH ROAD, FROM AGRICULTURE (AG) TO RURAL COMMUNITY (RC); PROVIDING FOR A TITLE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY; PROVIDING FOR INCLUSION IN THE CODE; AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The purpose of this hearing is to receive public comments regarding a proposed Comprehensive Plan Amendment (SSA-2024-03), a small-scale amendment to the Comprehensive Plan Year 2030 Future Land Use Map, changing the future land use category of the parcels.

 

All interested parties may appear at the public hearings and be heard regarding the proposed Ordinance. A draft of the proposed Ordinance is available for review at the Ernie Lee Magaha Government Building, 221 Palafox Place, First Floor, Deputy Clerk’s Office, Suite 110, Pensacola, FL 32502 and the Escambia County Development Services Department, 3363 West Park Place, Pensacola, FL 32505.

 

The Planning Board and the Board of County Commissioners do not make verbatim transcripts of their meetings; any person who wishes to appeal (to Circuit Court) any matter considered at such meetings or hearing will need to independently ensure preparation of a verbatim transcript of the proceeding that includes the testimony and evidence upon which the appeal will be based.
