This hearing affords an opportunity for public comment on the Mass Transit Program of Project for which federal capital assistance is being requested under the Section 5339 (c) Low or No Emission.  These Section 5339 competitive grant programs are authorized by Chapter 53 of title 49, United States Code.

 

Please note any person who decides to appeal any decision made with respect to any matter considered at the public hearing will need a record of the proceedings of the meeting. PROGRAM OF PROJECTS

 

The budgets for these grant applications total $21.3 million for a capital project to purchase electric buses and for the purchase and installation of electric bus charging equipment.  This project includes the purchase of nine (9) 35’ electric buses, four (4) cutaway (under 30’) electric buses, and installation of one (1) charging station with dispensers at the Rosa L Parks Transit Complex.  

 

This proposed project, including any amendments, becomes the final Proposed Project when approved by the Board of County Commissioners after receiving comments at the scheduled public hearing.  In the event changes are made to the program at the public hearing, a revised Final Project will be published.

 

The total available amount for the program is based on the proposed applications for these competitive grants.  If awarded, funding will be authorized under the Section 5339 (c) Low or No Emission Grant in an amount determined by the Award.
   
Escambia County Area Transit (ECAT) provides fixed route transportation throughout the Pensacola Urban Area. Escambia County is the Community Transportation Coordinator and the County has contracted ITL Solutions, to provide Paratransit Demand Response for ADA qualified persons throughout the County.

 

Escambia County offers reduced fares for elderly and citizens with disabilities on the fixed route service at all times.

 

No persons, families or businesses will be displaced by this project.

 

The proposed project is expected to have a positive environmental impact upon the urban service area.

 

At the hearing, the Board of County Commissioners will afford an opportunity for interested persons or agencies to be heard with respect to the social, economic, and environmental aspects of the program of projects, and for the use of federal funds apportioned to Escambia County. Interested persons may submit, orally or in writing, evidence and/or recommendations with respect to the program.

Father of the minor children, S.J.H., A.E.H., K.L.H., K.D.H., R.Z.H., Z.C.R.H., and K.J.H.    

 

    YOU ARE HEREBY NOTIFIED that a Petition for Termination of Parental Rights, Summons, and a Notice of Advisory Hearing has been filed in the above-styled Court for the termination of parental rights of S.J.H., a female child, born on the 3rd day of October, 2011; A.E.H. a female child, born on the 19th day of March, 2013; K.L.H. a male child born on the 20th day of September, 2014; K.D.H., a male child born on the 14th day of June, 2016; R.Z.H., a female child born on the 20th day of June, 2018; Z.C.R.H., a female child born on the 13th day of October, 2019; and K.J.H., a male child born on the 20th day of August, 2021, all in Escambia County, Florida, to permanently commit said S.J.H., A.E.H., K.L.H., K.D.H., R.Z.H., Z.C.R.H., and K.J.H., to the State of Florida Department of Children and Family Services for subsequent adoption.  You are hereby commanded to be and appear before the Honorable Thomas H. Williams, or other presiding Judge of the Circuit Court, in and for Escambia County, Florida, on the 30th day of April, 2024, at 8:30 A.M., for an Advisory Hearing on a Verified Petition for Termination of Parental Rights, at the Theodore F. Bruno Juvenile Justice Center, located at 1800 West Saint Mary’s Avenue, Pensacola, Florida 32501.

 

FAILURE TO PERSONALLY APPEAR AT THE ADVISORY HEARING CONSTITUTES CONSENT TO THE TERMINATION OF PARENTAL RIGHTS OF THIS CHILD.  IF YOU FAIL TO APPEAR ON THE DATE AND TIME SPECIFIED, YOU MAY LOSE ALL LEGAL RIGHTS AS A PARENT TO THE CHILD NAMED IN THE PETITION FOR TERMINATION OF PARENTAL RIGHTS.
